Garrison is a Canadian company. Lifeson has always been a supporter of Canadian guitar and gear companies. He used "Signature" (brand) guitars during the mid-1980's. Decent guitar but once they went out of business...
It was around that time that that Lifeson found PRS guitars.
Recently he's commented that the PRS with dual rectifier amps has become an all too common sound, this being one reason he's gone away from that tone.
The Howard Roberts fusion looks like a hollow body Les Paul. If you've the "Exit... Stage Left" DVD, that is the one he used for Tom Sawyer, around that time.
