Bono can't sing it. Simple as that.
  2. He should give it a try...

Indeed. It's my big dream to see that song live, it's my favourite album-song.

True, I don't like it live (even if it's my 5th favorite U2 song), maybe because Bono never sang it as good as the album version, which one of the greatest things they did

he definitely didn't sing it as well live. I say 'sing' as in his technical delivery of the song. Live it is much more stripped back and raw which I do love but I can't say it's better than the album version (which is my 3rd favorite U2 song this month)
  6. I've heard rumours (from a fairly decent source) that definitely suggest a 2009 summer European tour. I guy I know was a season ticket holder at the old Lansdowne Road stadium for quite a while, and threw the years he got to know quite a few staff members. Word has it that U2's people have been in touch about booking possible dates next summer. No more than small talk though but it's promising.

For those that don't know Lansdowne Road, it's been going through one hell of a refurb and it's due for completion by the end of this year. It will look a little something like this :

    I'll be there

    Weird but oh so cool!
  8. I don't think they should kick the classics out of the setlist. I mean, I've got all of U2's songs and of course there are some tracks that you've just heard too many times, but I've never been to a concert of U2 before and I would really be disappointed if they didn't play songs like Pride and Streets. So I think what they did last tour was great: doing the classics, but still revive some old song or perform some songs which were never played before. (I don't think they'll do An Cat Dubh/Into the Heart again next tour, that would be too bad, it's my favorite U2 song )

don't be so sure about it.

Well, of course you never know, but fact is it's just not such a familiar song for casual fans. And I think it was dropped after the first leg in the Vertigo Tour. And I think they'll move on to another old album you know. Vertigo tour was sort of a tribute to Boy, with Electric Co. and An Cat Dubh/Into the Heart and playing the first song (Vertigo) again at the end. Maybe they'll perform songs from War, like THBAO, Seconds and Surrender, would also be pretty cool. But I still hope for An Cat Dubh/Into the Heart.

yeah Bono was forever saying in interviews how he felt like thay just made their first item so it was only fitting to mix those songs in with a mini set from the actual Boy album
