1. I agree that the health care system needs to be fixed, but not with a 2,000 page bill we know nothing about. One of the reasons I'm hoping to join the military actually is the health benefits.

I don't support the idea of government run healthcare whatsoever. However i can't even give a real opinion about the bill in particular because i don't have time to read a 2,000 page health bill. Does anyone in America really know EXACTLY what we are getting with this because i sure don't
  3. A great example of fake democracy in the EU: The French President Sarkozy accused Slovakia, Hungary, Czech Republic and Poland of conspiracies because they always meet before an EU summit, but he doing the same with Merkel is perfectly fine in his opinion. It just shows what Lisbon was made for: to give more power to France and Germany. Who supported the Treaty the most? France and Germany. Surprise surprise. Now Tony Blair can't become the President of the EU. 2 years ago Sarkozy said Blair was "the most pro-european British" who'd be an "inteligent" decision when electing the President of the EU, but now it turns out not to be true because "the UK not using the Euro remains a big problem" and as some politcians from Germany and Luxembourg said, someone who's from a country which has not started using the Euro so far, isn't a part of Schengen and refused to accept the Charter of Fundamental Rights, can't become the first EU President. Now guess who's most likely to get that position? The PM of Belgium or the PM of Luxembourg, countries which love to cooperate with France and Germany. Surprise surprise.

I say Blair should run anyways. And if he loses, it'll show that Europe can't elect the best individual as president of the EU.

My point exactly. No one knows whats really in it. For all we know, it could be officially confirming or denying the existence of Area 51, or some other thing, that has nothing to do with health care.
  6. I think its lame the way the liberal media is handling the Fort Hood Maccecre. Major Hasna, is a terrorist, and a coward. What else is there to say?
  7. When talking about media, why does Mr. Obama ignore those which don't support him?

  8. The funny part is it has backfired. Since this boycott of Fox has stated, there ratings have gone up, and all the other stations have taken there side. i say make an apperance on Fox, but go on Bill O'Reily as oppsed to Hannity, since he tends to give Obama more credit, and usually lets people he disagrees with say what they want on his show. That way everyone wins.

No, their ratings have been high since Obama took office, it's the most watched news station out of the cable ones like CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, etc.
I think it's mainly because they've become a lobby more than a news network, what with all the "tea paries" they've sponsored.
And Obama should just stay away from there, IMO. There's no point in him getting yelled at by O'Reilly, unless Obama starts yelling back, which isn't gonna happen

That would just prove that Obama is a weak president unable of confrontation and that democracy in the US if far away from being perfect.

Dont insult O'Reily. Of all the people on Fox News, I'd argue, he's the most open, to compromise.

We already knew that he's a weak president. He's also, a dumbass. He spent too minutes in the press confrence on the Fort Hood masscre, before even bringing up what happened, and he keeps delaying the Ahghnistan decision. Either bring the boys home, or give them the support they need to win.
