1. Its ok, I just dont want to be put in a corner that is not mine I am all against racism, but also against sugar coating the truth. That is what went wrong here, it was a taboo to say that a certain group caused many problems.

I have enough Moroccan friends that I can rely on and I dont care which book they read in a church or a mosque. But people must be accountable for their actions, dont care if you're white, black, green or blue.

We have the same kind of stuff in the states. My old high school, will actully pay kids with poor attendance records to attend.

I will never understand that. If they dont attend: not my problem. Now money is wasted, when they dont want to learn they will drop out eventually.

Exactly. For someone to pass, they have to want to. I screwwed up more times than I care to remember in High School. What it came down to was one day, I told myself I'd pass, if for no other reason, than to prove my father (who had been criticizing me pretty regularly since the 5th grade) wrong. And thats what motivated me. Was I at the top of my class? No, but I passed.

Same here. As a white guy hoping to eventually go into Law Enforcement, people have been know to call me a racist. I always tell them, I personally dont care what color someone is. Its just as wrong if a white guy steals a car, as it is if a black guy does.

Edit: If I'm successful in making it into Law Enforcement, I intend to arrest any criminals I find, regardless of race.

Most of the minorities I know, are stand-up individuals.
  5. Yeah, apologies from my side Its easy to say things to regret in this thread

Its indeed easy to judge people as a whole community based on race, color, religion. But that was not my intention. Its just that a certain group is making problems now.

On another note: in history there have been more 'christian' terrorist attacks than 'islamic'. Notice the quotes

Yep, leave them alone. But don't be pissed if they start a criminal career.

The website is anti-islamic, indeed. But they just quote a newspaper articele, so it might be borderline objective.
From what I read there, it's just a one-off sponsorship from a small munipality. Not common practice. Other parties, clubs and groupes are sponsored, too on a bigger scale. The reason might have been not that intelligent, but I can't see anything wrong in the act.

One dont make up for the other. I try to stay away from organized religion. Just seems like an excuse for violence to me, and it more convenient to worship from your own home.
  8. I agree with you that people not attending school have a bigger chance of becoming a criminal. But you can also say that people that have started criminalising attend less classes at school.

Also I think its wrong to pay for good behavior. It just gives them the sense they can do anything. In holland everyone can go to school and get a good job. But its not mine, yours or anyone's responsibility if they dont want too.

I must say I disagree about the gift in Gouda, but I respect your opinion. Its also hard to discuss if we dont know the whole context. Gouda has been on TV for weeks last year, busdrivers being attacked, etc.

I agree, it was an example how dangerous it is to judge. How can we judge 'them' if 'we' have more terrorists. Every case should be looked at individually and of course there is no excuse for terrorism.

What really qualifies as a terror attack? Thats the question. Most acts of modern terror have been islamics, but historically Christians are far bigger a-holes.

Also, collective guilt is the stupidest idea ever imho. White guilt, Muslim guilt, German guilt, whatever. Its all BS.

And that's why we have to get them back in the classroom. It can't be a solution to say "Hey, I'll get you 5 bucks if you attend school today", that's clear. But we have the duty to not leave any young one behind.

In theory, the same counts for Germany. Everyone can go to school, get the job they want if they just work hard and so on. But that's just dreams. Real life is different. The selection starts once you're born.

Like I said before, I don't know anything about the incidents in Gouda. Seems a little like what's going on in Berlin and in the South of France every now and then. I'd see this on a bigger scale though and not look for someone who is guilty but ask myself why these people do what they do.
