1. As far as I can tell, Van Rompuy, Sarkozy and Barroso refused to come using the volcano ash as their argument. I have the right to think that these people should have gone to the funeral. Don't know what Ashton was doing at that time so I can't say about her.
  2. Berlusconi making the other leaders weait as an example for european dissection? That's rather funny
Of course Europe is far from being partly or completely "united". But so far, I didn't hear anyone saying so. It's a long term project, we're just at the start of it...

You have every right to think and say whatever you want.
I don't see why there should be a conspiracy behind it, though.

How can you work with each other if you dont have any respect for fellow leaders? It was embarrassing to watch. But i agree, i have a sense of humor Guess you not arguing about my other points says something And the EU isnt that young, imho.

Anyway its just discussion this Hope we can all see through heated opinions.

That's a matter of manners and education. But no political question. Otherwise we would already be in war with several countries.
  6. I really should stop editting right after i post
  7. And its not about causing wars between EU nations here, it was about unity. And then manners and education ARE important in my humble opinion

  8. No, it was about blowing up a simple "misbehaviour" to a political sign.

I guess it depends on the perspective if you rate the EU as young or old... 50 years is quite young for me. (not to mention that the fall of the USSR changed everything anyway)
  9. Maybe, but we dont know if the EU will survive another 50 or 100 years. So indeed what is the definition of young
  10. Do you people know what president had the biggest funeral in history?

Biggest = number of presidents of other countries attending

    Kennedy?
  12. John Paul II if he qualifies as president ;-)

Otherwise it would be Churchill and Tito, I guess.
