    But evidently the merit of it doesn't belong to Hamilton. It belongs to the audience. Best aud ever.

    It makes some sense (and it'd be great!), but really it's hardly worth believing. There's a proshot recording of it and nothing has leaked in 20 years? Too difficult.
  3. It would really be the best U2 news of 2007, but I'm afraid it won't be happening. I remember reading somewhere, a few weeks ago (u2.com?), that it is not something U2 would be likely to do, bringing out anniversary editions.......... It's a shame, because it would really, really, really be awesome 2cd plus dvd!!

  4. I quote myself:

    As someone mention earlier: U2.com is always last to confirm this sort of things.

    Yep, seems to be really true. Universal Holland is also reporting it.

    watch Zoo Station from the Chicago DVD. Towards the end just after Bono passes the Edge at the tip of the elipse Boo clearly has the mic down by his side at arms length but you can still hear him moaning into the mic. wtf?? that is just inexcusable. He makes the best live band ever look like they are miming

    Well, I don't think Hamish got a hand in that, it is the entire sound/video crew at that moment.
    But indeed, that's a really embarrasing moment and it annoys me every time I see/hear it.

    surely it's Hamish who has the majority say in what makes it on to the disc. I just can't enjoy that DVD because of moments like that (great performance of Zoo Station it was too) whether it was Hamish or not
  10. Back to track:

    Is REALLY the New Joshua DVD confirmed? I haven't found it on Universalmusic.nl nor Universalmusic.es nor Universalmusic.com. Can someone provide me a link to confirm it's true?
    Thanks.
  11. 20th Anniversary Edition

    On Sept. 19th, various U2 fan sites began reporting that Universal Austria had confirmed the release of three special 20th Anniversary Editions of The Joshua Tree with a tentative release date of November 23, 2007, continuing U2's streak of releasing an album, compilation, or DVD in November of every year since 2001's Elevation 2001: Live from Boston DVD.

    The releases will consist of:

    * A digitally re-mastered standard album in a 'super' jewel case with a 24-page booklet.
    * A deluxe edition to include a 5" hardcover book with two wallets (at front and back) to hold two CDs (the remastered album + rarities) and the 24-page booklet.
    * A limited edition to contain everything in the deluxe edtion, plus one DVD of a Paris show from The Joshua Tree tour.

    ==================================================================================

    Translated from a Spanish site (didn't say which one):

    It seems that this time goes in serious the news. We have known thanks to our friendly U2Valencia.com that U2 will publish " The Joshua Tree Deluxe Edition".

    The past 1 of April we gave to the news of the publication of a special edition of the disc Joshua Tree on the occasion of the 20 anniversary of the publication of the same. The news turned out to be a joke of a Web on the occasion of the day of the innocents.

    But now the news comes to us from Universal Music that has predicted the launching the next month of November of a special edition of the mythical disc of group. The box will contain unpublished material and a DVD with extra material.

    According to they comment the launching is predicted for the 6 of November.

    ==============================================================================

    I am not sure now if it is still a joke or not.
