  2. Cant you connect the VHS recorder directly on the DVD recorder? Should have a bit better quality.

  4. thats a fair point. Have no VHS recorder at the moment so i'll have to try it straight from the camcorder into the DVD recorder or TV


  5. just a tester. Cheap. The tapes themselves are 10-15 years old aswell so i'm not sure quality will be too hot to begin with. If it sucks i'll get the dvd recorder into action and do a 1:1 real time conversion
  6. Those things also do realtime conversion, not faster. Only advantage is more control of compression and the ability to edit the stuff on your pc.

    Basic chaptering is all that would be required. I'll take a punt on it for a tenner.
