At least for Irish carrier Meteor's users

HTC Hero, one of the nicest mobile phones delivered to the market during 2009 with Google's Android operating system on board, seems scheduled to receive an update to Android 2.1 sometime during March this year. The handset has been already expected to receive the software upgrade from its maker, but no exact time frame for the move was unveiled up until now, though rumors suggested February will be the lucky month. However, Irish wireless carrier Meteor said recently on its forum that the Android 2.1 upgrade for Hero was to arrive on in March.

“Just got another update on this and HTC have said they are releasing 2.1 on the Hero and we are hoping to have this availible by the end of March. This will be available via the HTC website and we are also looking at other ways to make this update easier to access for our customers. As soon as I hear any more on this I'll let you all now becuase I know the release of 2.1 is something that everyone is looking forward to,” the said forum post notes.
  2. Apple unveils its iPad...

looks weird. what do you think?

  3. Terrible name. Expensive digital picture frame or a big iphone. I think it is a niche item. Id rather have a netbook.
  4. Ugliest thing Apple ever made.
  5. Fits perfectly in your pocket.
  6. It is difficult to see a specific use for it. I bet the video will be amazing but can't see what it offers beyond the iPhone and the MacBook

    A fanboy product

  9. Agreed as well with all opinions here.

The UI is ugly as hell. Why would you use iPhone-size icons on a screen that big??? It doesn't multi-task and doesn't have Flash. On a device like that you'd think it would. Interesting idea but it ultimately falls flat on its promise as being something better than iPhone.

I'm sure everything there (or nearly) can be done on an iPhone already and you can fit it in your pocket.

  10. Hahahaha, just literally made myself laugh out loud at the thought of tens of thousands of people holding them up in the air at U2 concerts.

Hahahahaha. Still hilarious to think about.

And that outrageous monster looks like something straight out of The Onion. For real.
