and hopefully we might have the 2.1 update within a month. im yet again craving a trip back to Nokia. Looks like the N97 mini. Sure Symbian lacks a killer UI but I still maimtain that it is the best mobile OS on the market. Free navigation is also a bonus.

HTC Hero, one of the nicest mobile phones delivered to the market during 2009 with Google's Android operating system on board, seems scheduled to receive an update to Android 2.1 sometime during March this year. The handset has been already expected to receive the software upgrade from its maker, but no exact time frame for the move was unveiled up until now, though rumors suggested February will be the lucky month. However, Irish wireless carrier Meteor said recently on its forum that the Android 2.1 upgrade for Hero was to arrive on in March.
“Just got another update on this and HTC have said they are releasing 2.1 on the Hero and we are hoping to have this availible by the end of March. This will be available via the HTC website and we are also looking at other ways to make this update easier to access for our customers. As soon as I hear any more on this I'll let you all now becuase I know the release of 2.1 is something that everyone is looking forward to,” the said forum post notes.
