    I run vista on my mac for PC games. The games run well, but the rest of it is crap.

    Used Media Center? What version you running, Home Basic / Home Premium / Business / Ultimate?

    There are several bits in Vista that I do like:

    - Media Center (top of the list) not as good as MCE2005
    - Windows Media Player (works way better than XP)
    - Windows Movie Maker (now supports recorded TV shows)

    I don't like:

    - The new glassy interface (Aero) - it just looks butchered
    - How long it takes to copy a file (check it out below)



    - Poor compatibility with existing security programs and burning programs (Nero)

    So basically you'll be dead before you get just one file copied? I want my money back!

  8. Anyone any idea why my new car's CD player won't play the CD's I've burnt from my Mac? It's one of these front-load 6-CD jobs and they used to play fine on my old car's single slot CD player.

    Plus some discs will play sometimes and not at other times, but other discs (made in exactly the same way on the same day and on the same type of CD) will never play at all??!!

    What program you using? From experience, 6 and 11-stackers play some discs but not others, even though they're pretty much the same deal. iTunes, Burn...?
  12. You're on the money. iTunes playlist, insert CD-R, burn. That's it. I use Sony or TDK discs.

    I remember once that a DJ at a disco we were at couldn't play the CD. But it works everywhere else.

    It's not the end of the world as the thing also has a tape-deck so I'll connect my iPod and use that, but it's just a shame.

    It even skipped and didn't recognise my U218 disc this morning. Got it second time though.
