But burn all of it to dvds? Or should I get a new harddrive and copy all the stuff from old to new hd? what's the most efficient and savest way to safe your data?
I'd recommend using an external hardrive, u shud be able to get 1TB pretty cheap. Ideally its good to have 2 copies of everything, cuz hardrives can fail at the worsts times.
If ur using windows 7( i think Vista has it too), it has a back up program included. U can select a schedule so it can automatically backs up ur system every week or month, etc. Then if anything was to ever go wrong with ur pc and u had to start from scratch, the same back up program can restore ur pc to ur last back up point.
to get to the program search for 'backup and restore" in the programs and files search field. It is pretty easy to set up.
Also, most external hardrives are coming with back up software included now, so u could use that instead of the windows version.
Hope this helps
