1. So it was a busted one and you fixed it for that much? Nice!

Anyone know how to get this iMessage working?
  2. Yes, I did. Someone had lost it. It was password-protected so I could virtually do anything with it (I wouldn't have minded to return it back; I've never been an Apple fan and I wasn't tempted at all by the Touch - but I simply couldn't know whose was it). It had a broken screen and the audio jack didn't work properly. I bought replacements for both parts, repared them, and now I've got an almost brand-new iPod Touch for a total fee of 13 dollars - which is amazing. And it's an awesome gizmo.
  3. That's cool - it'd probably have only been thrown away anyway. May as well use it if you can eh. And they are pretty cool.
  4. Drew, create a contact of me with my email (deleted) and then write to me on iMessage. That should get it working for you.
  5. I would if it let me activate iMessage.

Edit: It works now. The solution for me was to - and this is so weird, I had to do this with my iPad too now I remember to activate Facetime - add 8.8.8.8,8.8.4.4 in the iPod DNS settings. Seriously, like that was obvious. WTF. Now I can add people.
  6. Ah I see... Is there an icon for it?
  7. Tried to add your email address and it says 'This address is not registered with iMessage.'. I'm lost.
  8. Woops, my apple account is on my other email. bobjoe007(at)hotmail.com
  9. Alright then, I'll try now. Hopefully this works because it's a cool feature if it takes off. I like the Newsstand thing too and the notification centre, even though it should have been there before but I guess it's there now.
  10. What's iMessage? Apple's own e-mailing service or what?
  11. Apple's own instant messaging. Like BBM for Blackberrys.
  12. If your iPod touch can run the new OS just released, Sergio, you might be able to iMessage.
