    I need amoled. Can't stand the LCD on this HTC. Deeper blacks and better contrast would make me like WP7 that little bit more.

    Podcast support needs to improve before I can use it full time though. Stupid hoops need to be jumped through to get them working acceptably.
  2. I never did something with podcasts so i wouldnt know. I basically just need whatsapp, but I dont like sluggish phones.

    Minimum hardware specs and a locked down OS means that WP7 isn't laggy. It isn't super fast either though but that seems to be intentional. Every tap or navigation through the OS is done with a transition that always seems to be a millisecond too long for me.

    Hopefully. They are all very nice to look at and they are nice and smooth but ever so slightly slow
  6. Yeah they are nice the first hour, and to show to friends, in all other cases they should be minimal and fast.
  7. The Mozart is to be sold. Going to go all in and get a Lumia 800. I need amoled. Will wait until closer to payday though.


  8. Looks like you've taken a real shine to WP7. What's the selection like in the market? One of the things I didn't get to check out when I briefly ran WP7.

    I take a shine to android each time I go back to it but it always fades. Hopefully not this time. The market selection seems spot on at present. It could do with a few more big hitting games but all the bases seem to be covered. There seems to be an app for everything for all taks but there might not necessarily be a selection of apps for that task.

    Desperately hoping for a traditional on device podcast manager. Seems to be all I'm missing from the N8.

    I might try my hand at developing apps for WP7 - currently working on one for Android and I've learnt a lot about programming in Java. Coming from a Microsoft background though and using (and admittedly enjoying) Visual Basic for about 4 years, I'm thinking the WP7 would be easier to develop for.
  11. + 1 I am not really an developer (yet) but I dig the MS tools, Visual Studio and .NET framework. Too bad they let us use Eclipse all the time at uni

    I'm using Eclipse for Android. Do prefer Microsoft's tools though.
