1. Downloaded an Ice Cream Sandwich build of Android for my phone last night, thinking of checking it out later if I can find my other micro SD card.

Currently running Desire HD 2.2 which has suited me fine, always happy to test the waters though.
  2. Does the iPad really need to request my password every time I try to download or update an app? Seriously annoying.
  3. You can change it for 15 minutes I think. It is annoying after you download 3 - 4 apps.
  4. Its atrociously naggy. My girlfriends iPod touch is the same. I'd understand it if it was all the time for purchase but for free Apple? My password is big and easy to typo. Grgh
  5. Yeah, I hate they request your passwrod every time you log onto App Store

My N8's battery is sersiouly fucked up. I think I might have dropped and bumped it onto the floor too many times... The phone is a rock but I'm afraid I might have broken something, battery now stands a bit less than 12 hours with normal use (moderate whatsapp and web browsing and ocassional photo/video taking; no music playing)... Oh dear
  6. Just buy new battery (15 eur originals)
  7. It's still covered by Nokia guarantee. But I don't know if they'll refuse to change/repair it when they see how scratched and broken is the outside cover of the phone (screen and buttons are mint, but the laterals are severly scratched, from continouos phone vs. home keys scratch inside my pocket).

If I manually open the phone, guarantee void will be broken, won't it?
  8. Technically yes but if you don't shear the screw heads you will be fine. There are no seals etc. It's ab easy enough job but I'm not sure. A drop shouldn't really cause battery drain. I'd be more inclined to do a retire to factory settings first before getting the screwdriver out or sending for repair.
  9. I've gone back to factory settings, I did it the other day. I stayed a whole day without installing any apps and taking care of keeping battery consumption at minimum rates, and it still didn't last longer than 18 hours I think (normal use, small web browsing, no whatsapp, took some pics, that's all).

It's strange because I've always taken extreme care of not disconnecting it while it's charging, leaving the battery completely drain out before charging it, etc etc. Battery life began to dramatically decrease one month ago and it hasn't improved ever since. It's otrageous because I really do adore the phone, but if I can't easily get the battery changed I might swap it for an iPhone when my contract expires in late May...
  10. It may indeed just be a duff battery. Changing it can be done in a minute with the right screwdriver. I did it a few times myself.
  11. I will give Nokia Spain a call and ask if they'd replace it for me. If not, I will buy a new battery off eBay and replace it. If I'm happy enough with it, I will stick with the N8... If not, an iPhone might be my next target. Not that I'm eager to part with the N8, but the only phone I would not hate to have instead of this is an Apple one.
  12. Funnily enough having the iPad makes me dislike the iPhone a little bit more. The interface is just so crowded and cramped looking on the iPhone. It was fine before but I couldn't use it day to day after having used an iPad.
