  3. Have a huge problem.
    I have a compaq notepad and Im struggling to use the touch pad.
    The curser sometimes does'nt move or moves in its own will or too fast
    almost like im fighting with someone else to move it, im afraid
    that soon I will not be able to use my pc because of it.
    Is it a bug, because my pc is running on norton, what should or can I do?
    Any help will be greatly appreciated as I cant afford another pc or to get it fixed at the moment things a tight.

  5. Because I cant drag a mouse with me to bed or anywhere else.
    The touchpad was working fine before, I just dont understand whatis wrong?
  6. How old is the computer? Maybe some warranty or some consumer law can help.

  8. At that age computers often start malfunctioning.
  9. Warranty was only one year.
    Think it could be a bug but I got antivirus so I would'nt know.
  10. I have never heard of a virus making a hardware malfunctioning like that. I could be wrong of course, but I think it might be purely a phyisical matter, some part of the touchpad wearing off or something.
  11. I've heard of viruses or malware affecting hardware. But it could be wear and tear, especially after 5-6 years.

    I just managed to score myself a Sony Experia for $100 - locked unfortunately but I'm looking to change networks anyway. Oh and the screen has a crack - so I have to get that replaced but apart from that it works perfectly.

    Installed the launcher I wanted too, and widgets.
