1. My new computer is amazing. Effectively starts up in 55 seconds, shuts off in 15 seconds since I press the power button - no matter what's been opened or is running. It may not be light-fast for some of you geeks, but it's surely miles better than I'm used to It's got Windows XP on the main partition (it came with it) and I've installed Linuk Ubuntu 12.04 on the other, smaller one. I'm thinking of not upgrading to Windows 7 since I don't really care about the nicer look, and I have (surprisingly) found myself not lacking any of its special features... Let's see.
  2. I really cant use XP anymore with the old taskbar and terrible start menu. Also docking windows using the win+arrow keys i really need.
  3. Yeah, the W+up/down/left/right shortcut is what I probably miss the most... Although I was searching yesterday and I found a few programs that can implement that feature onto XP too! For example, http://tweaks.com/windows/39427/window-snapping-for-windows-vista-and-xp/ ... Thinking of what to do, though. The thing that puts me back the most about upgrading to 7 is re-installing everything (Office, Nero, iTunes, browsers, etc) and re-customizing it I HATE that.
  4. I understand

  5. I tried this, but it still cut off. Maybe I am not setting the right dimensions. Can you offer me some dimensions? (Sorry, this is a bit over my head!)

Yeah, when I watched in on the computer, it definitely played the film in widescreen. That's the real head-scratcher here. I'm at a loss of what to do. I've exclusively used handbrake, so I don't even know what other programs to use (Mac OSX)
  6. If you have the original already, I'd save time and download a copy.
  7. That would be the way to go, but I can't do torrents on my network. It won't happen. :-(
  8. PC down, think its hackers,
rang antivirus co they said not them its internet provider,
rang internet provider they said its antivirus co,
    both say its not them,
and im convinced its a hacker,
I keep disconnecting and not being able to open up pages,
pages freeze and always have to recover,
pretty soon I wont be on the net
And the only pages its letting me open up is U2start but with difficulty,
so it is goodbye from me soon.

    Good luck mate :M
  10. I am quite sure it is malware instead of a hacker. If you need any help, send a PM
  11. It is a laptop, I was just hoping you could tell me how to take it back to factory settings, Please, windows Vista it is,
    Thankyou.
  12. That depends on the laptop, maybe during booting there is an option to restore your laptop. If not hold F8 while booting, you will get a menu, might be there.

Restoring to factory settings equals data loss though, make backups.
