1. How does Bootcamp work? Then I could use DVD Decrypter at least.
  2. I dont know, dont have a Mac. I am sure some others may have a better option than bootcamp though
  3. Hopefully some U2-Starters can help me...

I'm getting a power supply for my pedal board, and I've been looking at this one:

Problem is, the wall plug it comes with is UK style, and I need the US style wall plug. Luckily, it's a separate part (as you can see), but does anybody know what I'm even looking for in terms of what kind of cable that is? I don't even know what it's called and I'm googling around like an idiot. One end needs to plug into the box, with that trapezoid type shape, and the other end needs to plug into an American-style wall outlet:

  4. What's exactly your question, Matt? Power cables are a bitch but easily switchable as long as voltage is the right one... If the pedal comes with a UK plug but works at the same voltage as you wall plug provides, you only need of of these: http://www.amazon.com/VCT-VP18-Adapter-Converts-Grounded/dp/B000NND600

Although the power cable show in your pic is NOT the UK type but the standard-Europe type (the one I have in Spain):

  5. This should do you: Amazon.com

    It's a C13 connector

    Oh, and UK plug wins.

  6. An adapter is cheaper and handier, and he can use the makers' cable (always a plus when it comes to electronics IMO)
  7. Also check if the supply supports 120 V 60 Hz input, otherwise just another plug wont work.
  8. Thank you guys so much for your help!
  9. I (well, my wife) recently had photos done of our kids....not really necessary information here. However, I mention it because we received a CD containing all the pics from the photographer and also somehow put one of the pictures on its surface - and it wasn't some sort of sticker. Anyway, it got me wanting to be able to do something like this for some of the CD's I burn. You know, to make them look....nice...professional. Assuming I can get a hold of the CD art (or create something myself), what programs could I use?

Am I making any sense here?

I'm not sure if any new methods are around for this, but a couple of years ago, to do this you needed a printer that can print on CDs, then the printer also had a program for it. I have a Canon MP500 which does this. You will also need special CDs with printable surface.

You're making perfect sense. As Ali pointed out, you need a printer that's able to print on printable CDs. The result of home-printed CDs can vary from staggeringly amazing to staggeringly awful. And that print-on material can be pretty expensive on general shops.

My advice: you're best getting it printed at a photocopy shop/room for you, rather than doing it yourself
  12. I figured as much..thanks for the information, you two.

Maybe I'll have to head down to Staples and see what they can do for me.
