1. Known issue that they have yet to fix? Ridiculous. Time to head into an Apple store and give those 'Genius' staff a headache.

Sergio, the phone won't even connect to Wi-Fi, the option is greyed out and it's permanently set to 'off'.
  2. I meant with know issue, that it disconnects more often in 6.x. Your issue sounds different.
  3. This is what I get:

After digging around on the net, I see that it is a common problem too. All the more reason to go in and see what the local Genius has to say.
  4. Yeah I'd go to a 'genius'
  5. Should be a good laugh.

My parents iPhones connect to our home WiFi but they lose connection after a few seconds/minutes. It also happened to my Nokia N8 with a previous firmware I used to have.
  7. question by an almost complete ignorant of this stuff ..
is there a way to convert an iBook to something readable with a PC?
  8. I've used calibre before
  9. grazie mille
i will try as soon as i'll have the intersted iBook
  10. I haven't specifically tried to convert a book from the iBookstore before, I think I converted a PDF into ePub so that the iBooks app could display it. I think (although may be wrong) that books bought through Apple are protected and I'm not sure whether Calibre will be able to circumvent that.

Have you looked to see if the book is available on the Amazon Kindle store? That way you can read it using Kindle for PC.
