1. A drawback of AMOLED displays. It's a shame that the glass and the display are bonded together because the glass itself is about £15. I'll keep an eye of faulty devices on eBay. I'd use a Lumia 710 or get a HTC 8S for a few months.
  2. Managed to pick up a HTC radar on the cheap. It will do for a month or 2 until the Lumia 620 (or 720 if announced) become available. Now to see if I can get a remotely good price for a broken screened 900.
  3. Good luck on that...

Anybody knows how to change the wifi scan rate on the Xperia Ray (aka non-rooted, standard 4.0.4 Android)? It does it every few seconds and it annoys the f* out of me, specially when going on the bus and loads of different wifis appear...

    Bump? thanks
  5. No idea at all
  6. Didn't find anything with a quick google search... I'd recommend other forums

  7. It was you who I trusted the most hahaa... Yeah Olof, of course I googled it before asking, but didn't find anything either so I thought dropping the Q here maybe would help. I will try harder, thanks guys!
  8. Do you get notifications or something that the scan rate is bothering you ?

  9. Yep, a notification every single time that a wifi net is found. Moreover, doing a slower scan rate (maybe 5 minutes instead of each 5 seconds or so) would help with the battery life for sure.
  10. Hmmm think WP7 scans often as well, but you can turn off notification.
  11. hmm, I believe you can just turn the notifications off. Go to settings, wifi, then from the menu choose advanced. There is an option called network notification, take the tick off.
  12. I don't know if anyone else has had this problem but on iTunes, it struggles to import some CDs. There are some that import without a problem but others just don't kickstart and it stays at the start of the first song. I was thinking maybe it's my cd drive, or if it's iTunes.

    Anyone know anything about this?
