1. I noticed Tesco got some of those in. The specs look fantastic so I'll try it when I'm working tonight to see how good it actually is.

Did you get to see if it has wi-fi, silly question I know but I had to check if you got to see it ?
  3. Gerard, did you try the ART runtime on your Nexus 7? It improves the speed quite a bit. However not all apps are compatible. For example Whatsapp didnt work until Kitkat 4.4.2.
  4. I'm on 4.4.2 on both devices and things are mostly OK. Still using Nova launcher. MX player has stopped working though which is an absolute pain. I wasn't aware that ART needed manually enabled but I have done so now and will report back.
  5. My bank app doesn't run on ART either. I shall have to revert back.
  6. MX is a pain indeed, I tried some others for the same reason. But none are so snappy as MX :S

VLC has the same problem as on the PC, ugly and subpar performance. BSplayer is okish but not super snappy like MX. But it has subtitle searcher...

Hope MX will be updated soon!

My Chrome is crashing more often nowadays though. Two or three times a day..
  7. Agreed about MX being better than VLC. Hopefully an update on the way. Still love the Nexus 7. Probably going to be New Year before I get a Nexus 5. I want to sell the Nexus 4 first to keep the costs down.
  8. I am waiting till spring for a new phone, have the Lumia 800 exactly 2 years now. Nexus 7 is doing quite well covering up the Lumia's shortcomings.
  9. That was my thinking too but Google play music, audible and podcasts take up most of my phone use and Windows Phone doesn't do either well.

  10. That's a lot I followed your advice and I'm using android's stock browser lately (uninstalled Chrome so plenty of free space on the phone as well), it ain't as bad as I recalled.
  11. Well I didnt count it, maybe its only once a day on average. I suspect it crashes on some specific site.

Android Browser is not bad at all. But am not bothered enough to install it now.

My phone basically does nothing anymore, except tethering my 3G to the Nexus 7
