Since U2 has spanned across multiple decades, I doubt we'll see them as being retro anytime soon.
The thing about U2's third decade: I like it, I really do. I just don't love it. I'm not too sure if it's my age or that all bands have a finite time in one's life to be great, but for me nothing compares to 1980's and Zoo-era U2. It's even at a higher level than Oasis, RH, GNR, (gasp) PJ, and all the other greats from my past (and present).

I like their live music and shows from the last decade but the CD's arent really good, in my opinion ofcourse. It sounds all so over-produced (Whole ATCLB, Moment Of Surrender) and too radio friendly (Boots, Vertigo, Magnificent)
