    I have a thought though. What if the new American President is not quite such a dick head and Bono can be more true to himself when he has to approach him for various reasons. Do you think that it could affect his songs? I think that there is no doubt that Bono had to be a bit held back with what he would like to say because his first priority is to endear the President to support his causes and not to alienate him. More of a sincere approach?? Who knows.

    I really don't wanna imagine what's on that bloke's mind right now...but I would like to see a couple of songs with anti-war comments...even if it's too much of a cliche right now...HTDAAB had none, maybe some hidden messages...like the way we interpreted Vertigo on the MoLRT, or those very silent first lines of LAPOE...I like something that's clear, like The Boss has been doing lately...Devils & Dust, The Devil's Arcade or Long Walk Home.

    Its to late now for the new album to be on the "new" americain president, the new songs have already been recorded and the poor bloke hasn't even been elected, let alow been labeled as a dick because of his agender. What i think we will see is, as Ali said, a general anti war, pro coexist message being potrayed in atleast some of the songs

    I'm sorry I didn't really make it very clear. I was not trying to say that the new president may not be such a dick head as we think but I was referring to the fact that he may be less of a dick head as the current one. Our man Bono will use his celebrity to play the game of endearing the powerful men of this world to do what's best for the weak and the most needy and if it means allowing President Bush to think that he likes/ admires him then I'm afraid folks that that is what he will do.

    But it's just guessing...I understand, don't get me wrong, but it's just a suggestion about the new album which I think won't be true. Just me though..
  8. You are right. Who knows. But I think that the new album will be more forceful than HTDAAB, Because that album was an indulgence by Bono to release things within him relating to the relationship with his father. There were hidden meanings but he admitted that it could have been called 'How to dismantle an atomic Bob'.
    I really think that this one is going to be more powerful as far as making a statement about 'peace and the need to address important matters in the world' is concerned.
    We'll see, but I have a feeling that the big boys in world politics may not continue to be buttered up so much by our B man soon.
