1. I've had more of a thought towards the subject of "digital visual co-efficient".

What this implies to me, is something that has never been seen before. So, either it's a new way of distribution (many artists are offering USB drives) with the album pre-loaded and the artwork and digital booklet on there in PDF format, too.

And I am dead-set that this is the track list (in this exact order):

    1. The Cedars of Lebanon
    2. Moment of Surrender
    3. For Your Love
    4. One Bird
    5. No Line On The Horizon
    6. It's Six O'Clock
    7. If I Could Live My Life Again
    8. Love Is All We Have Left
    9. North Star
    10. Mercy
    11. Lead Me In The Way I Should Go
    12. You Can't Give Away Your Heart

So if this is correct, 12 songs will appear - about the same as HTDAAB Deluxe Edition (with Fast Cars).

maybe but it is the 'sleeve' thats now being referred to and not the booklet. A usb sleeve? The term 'digipak' is now gonna mean something it would seem.

No - the album cover embedded in the files - like we do on bootlegs.

the gist so far though suggests something physical. A usb album art idea is crap i think. This to me seems seperate to the median in which the music will be distributed.

    I'm seriously excited by this.

But I can't imagine millions of USB drives being made - plus not everyone can use them for various reasons.

i refuse to get too excited. This could be anything but when was the last time we heard 'revolution' and 'u2' in the same line. . . . . .

    I can't imagine that Drew...
another thing to take into account, could be, how much capacity would that usd drive need to hold a "perfect" audio, pixels on the pictures, etc.... it sounds interesting but it's a little absurd I believe...
maybe it'll be a blank album, with no covers at all and it will include a cd-rom or some sort of thing like that, with all the sleeves and etc... It's the only way I can imagine now...
but well... as Gerard said... let's wait.... and suffer 'till the release date is due!!

Very cool idea, but a little bit unusual. Maybe it will be a CD-ROM; who knows.
  9. I dont like the cd-rom idea. I would expect it to be something within the actual sleeve or case that doesnt need any other device to be used, viewed, watched or whatever. Cd rom sounds a little 1995

    Maybe a fold-out cover perhaps?

likely. If we leave our expectations at that then we cant be disappointed.

agreed... after I thought about it, it seemed unlikely... cd-roms are OLD NEWS and not ground breaking.....
