  1. The Christmas market seems to be too much of a money spinner for U2 not to cash in on. If its gonna be a January release I hope they do the odd promo/rehearsal gig before Christmas and use them to debut the new stuff. Would be great but not likely

    There are alternate ways to milk the christmas cow. The download vouchers I mentioned are only one way. Portishead did it the same way, they're also signed by Universal...

    Judging by the "new" versions, they would have made it worse.

    true. but for U2 the bulk of album sales will be traditional, as McGuiness has recently stated, the band still sells a ton of CDs, physical ones...and those are huge for the holidays, as they can be wrapped in pretty paper and put under the tree

    aka live version style playing in the studio?

    they shouldve done that with the fly from elevation IMO
  8. If they need to postpone the album to make it better, why not? I want a good album, if that means more time to wait, I can live with that. I want the best, not some half-produced album.

    I agree, however I've been waiting so long lol. I think U2 are building up hype, considering the album right now is in mixing, or already done. They're clever they are.
