1. Great interview, loads of information. Moment of Surrender seems cool, but I'm not convinced until I heard it.

Seven and a half-minutes? Now that's got me excited; more of this please, and less 3 and a half minute throwaway songs like "All because of you".

Thanks too for the article - brilliant bit of new info!!
  3. that interview gave us some awesome new info + the new video makes me all super excited again.
  4. 7,5 minutes....what song was 7 minutes before?

    LEMON!
  5. Ok we will wait for February

  6. It better be a really, really good, epic of a song to be that long. If it isn't quite so epic, they should cut it down to 5-6 minutes.

Lemon works at 7 minutes, because it's a song you get 'lost' in, so that it becomes almost an experience, rather than just a song.
  7. Riders on the Storm from the Doors, also a long track and one big adventure.
  8. Album could come in February? Cool. I think they'll release it in March maybe. I'm gonna guess from Feb 1 to March 31st we'll have a new album.

I don't wanna quote myself again but,

Album in the spring, US tour in the summer.
  9. I HATE WAITING!! frustrating lol . they need a new single NOW!
  10. the journalist actually asked good questions, and Edge gave awesome answers. Looking forward to February....this will be different guys, totally

It's good that they set aside, the Rick Rubin material, and started fresh, keeps the album cohesive. I hope the cut Moment Of Surrender down from 7 1/2 minutes to something more manageable.

we haven't had a long epic U2 song in a long time so I'm all for it

the fact that Bono's lyrics are supposedly 3rd person, it sounds like his style is going (dare i say back) to the more poetic aspect of the past....which i am actually all for, I wouldn't see it as a regressive move. I think Bono should get more poetic and abstract...I love the directness of the lyrics of the last 2 records, but ready for him to fly again and explore the heart as Poet. Damn this album will be the best album ever.
  12. I hope it doesn't become U2's Chinese Democracy....
anyway, listening to the new Kings Of Leon album, thougths arise about how this sound would be very cool and fitting to the new U2 sound... We'll see....
