1. I HATE WAITING!! frustrating lol . they need a new single NOW!
  2. the journalist actually asked good questions, and Edge gave awesome answers. Looking forward to February....this will be different guys, totally

It's good that they set aside, the Rick Rubin material, and started fresh, keeps the album cohesive. I hope the cut Moment Of Surrender down from 7 1/2 minutes to something more manageable.

we haven't had a long epic U2 song in a long time so I'm all for it

the fact that Bono's lyrics are supposedly 3rd person, it sounds like his style is going (dare i say back) to the more poetic aspect of the past....which i am actually all for, I wouldn't see it as a regressive move. I think Bono should get more poetic and abstract...I love the directness of the lyrics of the last 2 records, but ready for him to fly again and explore the heart as Poet. Damn this album will be the best album ever.
  4. I hope it doesn't become U2's Chinese Democracy....
anyway, listening to the new Kings Of Leon album, thougths arise about how this sound would be very cool and fitting to the new U2 sound... We'll see....

  5. C'mon have a little faith. Comparing U2 to Gunners is like chalk and cheese.

I like the idea of this 7 1/2 minute epic though. Last time they went anywhere near that was Lemon (6:58), Zooropa (6:32), All I Want IS You (6:31), Love Rescue Me (6:25) and Hawkmoon 269 (6:22).

All very good tracks except Love Rescue Me IMO.

  6. Genaro, Thanks a lot for the link to watch the vid!!!
    sounds great!!
I really can't wait to get home and give it a propper listen... I'm at the office now, and to do it here is very "risky"... haha!!

and finnally!!!! finnally!!! I really looooooved Edge's interview!! finnally some fresh and solid information about the upcoming album.....

so February then???? it's fine by me!!!
    cheers mates!!
  7. the fact that U2.com just posted that article leads me to believe that No Line will be the title, if they are comfortable enough to even hint at it then yes...and that video of Larrys. The short films are including more songs...something is happening soon, an announcement anyway

Definitely agree. The wheels are turning!

  9. so if it is coming out in February, which I'd say is most likely, at least by December if not by the end of the month we should know details and that would mean a single would be out in December if not January?

I think a single will be out about December 15th or so. Then, two months of releasing more singles, promoting the new album, etc, and then the album comes out in the first two weeks of Febreuary
  11. Would it be too bold to think that U2 will be releasing new material through this (RED) wire project? They are mentioned among bands set to use the world aids day fundraising music server. does anyone think that the new album will be released that way? Or maybe a single?
