All im saying is, that im doubtful over to what he wud do for U2
But a pleasant surprise, and me being proven wrong in this case would be nice
    In terms of the music
I never said he would turn U2 into hip hop
Like everyone seems to think here
    I said im conservative lol
I got the right to be that at least dont I?

you have the right to be whatever you want lol.....I never thought to myself, "omg U2 is going hip-hop!" I just thought, "hmm that's interesting"

There were just some suggestions, it seems like you feel attacked while no-one attacks you mate. Don't be paranoid lol. We're just discussing a hip-hop producer who might produce a bit of U2-stuff, so the general idea that U2 is eavesdropping on Hip-hop is just a normal conclusion.

I wouldn't mind a dalliance with hip-hop as part of a B-side or remixes but keep it to a minimum on the normal album please Mr Bono.

I dont feel attacked, it just seems im the only one conservative in this lol
I still think this is somethin that will divide U2 fans onto two sides
Coz I cant exactly imagine the older generation of U2 fans jump of joy, if this turns out to be true lol
Will.I.Am is a really good rap/hip hop producer, but I doubt he'll have much success with U2
Meaning his good at what his doin, but taking on a rock band?
I dunno really, thats where I stand in all this
And I know im not the only one either, I might be on here but thats another story lol

I'm not positive either (I'd rather see Eno/Lanois), but U2 still is a rockband and will be a rockband in the future. That's exactly what Yeah pointed out earlier...a hip-hop producer doesn't make U2 hip-hop artists. And I know you never said such a thing, but you did say you are afraid it would divide U2-fans in two. Why?

The transition from Boy/October/War tot TUF was also a big step, from Lillywhite to Eno/Lanois...did it divide the fans back then?

You might be conservative, but you're still a U2-fan after TUF, AB and Pop, all innovative albums in their time. So why would a new album slightly produced by a hip-hop artist divide fans?

I see what your gettin at, and I hear you in that
Oh, Im not afraid it will divide U2 fans, it was just an opinion about different tastes
I could see the older fans of U2, not liking the idea of a hip hop producer being brought in
IAnd its my point, its not about being right or wrong
Coz someone is always gonna be unhappy about where their goin in terms of sound
Like I said people want different things
Im with you on that one, divided we stand anyway in terms of what U2 fans want of U2
And it would be awfully boring as well, if everyone wanted the same thing
Im just bit careful with the idea of him doin somethin with U2, end of story

Agreed, a discussion like this is always about different opinions, otherwise there won't be a discussion. We'll see in the near future!
  9. My only guideline for the band is "make sure it's not shit!"
  10. Besides I want to know soon when this "No end of the timeline" album is due to come out
  11. I get the feeling this has been a real difficult album for U2. All of these different names linked with producing the album and the scrapped/shelved Rubin stuff. I was sure at this point we would have had a release date or news of a single at least. The Best of 2000-2010 is going to be a bit low on tracks at this rate!!
