Bono's in great form, singing fantastic, and everybody's in high spirits. I think we can safely say it's one of the great innovative records from U2."

Awesome... I like how they keep saying innovative. Could this be as experimental as Pop and Zooropa? I hope so. Perhaps this psychedlic pop concoction could be really cool.

I hope not. Electronic and dance? I'd rather have the sonic depth and gut rock feel of Achtung Baby and Bomb.

Personally, I would too. But my guesses are based upon the info I've read. I wish I could be like "hey Bono, perhaps a rock 'n' roll record with real rock stuff". But I trust what they're doing. I'd rather have a record that's light years away from understanding than one that comes and goes. I'll even say that the Joshua Tree was innovative... innovative to U2 because American music like the blues and folk were something they didn't really know about at the time. The thing is, they were in Morocco for their inspiration. Expect Moroccan influences and sounds. Achtung was set in newly united Germany. Pop was inspired by the club scene in Miami. We all hope this album will be great, and I do too.

  9. A supposed new song title surfaced yesterday, according to U2valencia.com:

"We have just received news about the new album from Dublin.

At HQ tonight, Brian Eno has confirmed the title of one of U2's new songs to U2valencia.com.

Its title is Moment of Surrender.

Eno has commented that "it is the best song I've ever done with U2" and at the same time that "it is a slow song with a big atmosphere".

    More information to follow shortly."

If this is true, I wonder if this is a re-worked "Mercy," based on the title?
    (Maybe not).

holy crap...the hype for this album seems to be much more genuine than HTDAAB, we haven't had too much from Bono as of late, which is good, it really seems that Lanois has been the chearleader and this news from Eno is just....wow lol
  12. That sounds like a great title. Maybe something to do with the numbers reference Bono spoke about?
