Awesome. Let's hope they're progressing nicely. Catherine Owens was spotted in a flurry of activity there a couple of days ago as well, so there's speculation that some promo activity might be going on for the first single.

Hopefully she does something again like Original of the Species. She may even direct a few of their new concert films as well.

But is she better than Hamish with concert vids? I haven't seen the 3D, but many of you guys mentioned stupid editing mistakes and stuff like that...

she's been working with them visually since the Zoo TV tour, if not before that. I know she's known them forever, but i would definitely like to see her do some more videos
  7. u2 were at hq on the 11th/12th as well, macstripey & I were lucky enough to meet them

brian eno and daniel lanois were there too and we heard two new songs through the thick doors of the studio, they sounded awesome! (we also heard bono singing live with someone, probably edge, who played the guitar)
they are moving their stuff to france now, so I guess they're definitely in the final phase!

Lucky sods. Well, if a fans' view suggests the new stuff is worth listening to, then I'm intrigued!

Oh, did I mention you're lucky sods?

Since you heard two of the songs... (Very cool, by the way), how would you characterize them?

Joshua Tree-like? Achtung Baby-ish? Pop-tastic? Combination of various eras? Completely different all together?

hehe, I still can't believe it, you bet we're still in a daze!
only bono and edge came out late at night (or early in the morning, lol),
    but they were really nice.

    @anstratdubh1979

    very hard to tell!
we were all pressing our ears against the doors (must've been a funny sight )
and trying to hear as much as we could. one sounded very powerful, fast drums,
typical edge sound.. I'd say it was louder and wilder than vertigo
the other song had some chorals in it, if I heard it correctly.. but really can't put it
into any previous era - all new stuff, me says!

"Fast drums, louder & wilder than Vertigo". Nice! Sounds "sonically delicious" to me! I am that much more excited for the release. I think were in for their best since Achtung Baby.

Perhaps it's time for another pancake analogy good sir...

I for one am buzzing now! To say I'm excited really wouldn't do my current state justice lol.
