  2. Rock and roll stops the traffic! I remember so well reading all about it on the day, and seeing the flatbed trucks on the news sites. Plus the DVD is great.

  6. that video is why u2 is the best band ever. they start in harlem in manhatten and make a music video driving through NYC on a flatbed truck. they kept yelling on a mega phone...

    just listen to bono talking to the guy from MTV before getting on the truck. the man is pure love. God is at work in this man and this bands music!

    The name of the album has gotta be coming shortly you'd think given that a November release is slated.

    if memory serves correct we got the name for ATYCLB in mid to late August and we got HTDAAB I think in September? as soon as it gets registered we should hear about it before it is officially announced

    didn't the rolling stones play on a flatbed truck in NYC in 1975? Hmm, methinks this album will be awesome:
    after their tours in 1975 and 1976 they released Some Girls, a response to hard rock at the time. It goes down as one of their best ever. I'm wondering if U2's album will do the same. My reason? U2 has always tried fitting in, then in came the 90s. Many of us love Achtung, Zooropa and Pop. However those albums defied music at the time, and created a sound that was way ahead of its time. Perhaps on the next record they'll make something that to some seem years ahead, but to me a reminder that rock music is still on top. That U2 is the best band around, and this is how you make music. The sound might fit in a little, but will be their own.

    an album in response to hiphop and emo rock, something similar has already been done. panic at the disco's "pretty odd" is influenced by beatles era music.
