I've recently just began hearing Muse on the radio-well, perhaps a year. They're great! When I'm done with some things around here, I'm going to see if I can find something on the internet to download.
    How were they live??
  3. I love Muse, but I wish they'd expand their lyrics a bit. IMO, the whole "Lets write songs that should be on the soundtrack to 'V For Vendetta'" thing gets a bit old after a while.

You might like their first album

  5. have and love all their albums. I guess I just wish they'd expand on their lyrics a bit. Oh well, I guess not everyone can be Bono and come up with great lines like "I wasn't going to buy just anyone's cockatoo."
  6. Gotta admitt that Matt's lyrics are becoming repetitive.
  7. Isn't Muse sort of like an over the top Radiohead, that miss the point of what Radiohead is all about?

  8. LOL. I can see what you are getting at but no. Muse want to be famous and catchy but also get respect of the underground, Radiohead seem to not care about the media or the industry and singles charts. They make music for themselves.

  9. Holy crap, I think Juraj and I actually just agreed on something!

  10. Agree fully.

    Lol...

Sort of agree with Jeremy and Juraj's comments regarding the lyrics, but I have a thing for dystopian material so it's not much of an issue for me partly why I listen to Muse, part of the attraction you might say.

  11. Explain?

So they're not "lets sound like Radiohead but angrier! and lets also write cryptic lyrics (except without them meaning much) and then let's get the London Philharmonic Orchestra to back us!"

Doesn't Matt Bellamy always sings in the same voice (which is a Thom Yorke ripoff) for basically all their songs?
