THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL IS RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED. It gets me soo mad! that's what i remember it was like $140+ for Depeche Mode and Lady Gaga mainly because it's a "historic venue". i think we'll be getting cheaper nosebleeds even though that'll be like 70 dollars. </3 FFFuuuuuuu. it's coldplay though, it'll be amazing. stilll wish they'd play at the Forum again because that was a lot cheaper and you can have a proper GA.

    It's called supply and demand.

Wrong argument. The demand for Madrid/Dublin/Paris/Frankfurt/*insert random European city*/ tickets was as high as for Los Angeles tickets -if not more-, and they weren't priced at 180€, they were at ~50€. Genaro already explained it, the Hollywood Bowl is a particular venue with a particular overpricing on their tickets. Which sucks

yeah it's not THAT bad but it is worse than any other venue in Los Angeles but hey, it's a price im willing to pay to see them but there won't be very much jumping up and down in hysteria because of the seats.

Wrong argument You could say that the European shows are sold too cheap instead of the American shows too high.

I don't mind those prices: it's a free choice. You do not have to buy them. It is choosing between €180,- and a Coldplay show.

Wrong argument once again. If Coldplay were the only band that has toured or were touring the world this times, their prices would be the only reference, and you actually couldn't tell if Europe was too cheap or USA too expensive. BUT there are tons of other bands with their same or even more reputation, demand and quality, and NONE of them are charging -as far as I know- more than 80-100 quids (make that euros, dollars, pounds, etc) for General Admittance tickets, whether it's an arena, stadium or whatever the venue. If they end up charging Genaro and his poor Los Angeles' fellas $200/GA ticket, I'll be very disappointed with Coldplay's management (even knowing that the venue holds a big part of the responsability on the tickets' price). $200 for the best seats in the house... well, it's expensive but I can accept it. But $200 for GA tix? C'mon.

    And of course it's a free choice - but I can be surprised/shocked by it, can't I?
  7. so happy they are touring US
Gonna try for the Philly, Atlanta, or DC, (unless they announce a closer one to Raleigh)

  8. maybe I can get a ride with you to DC from Nags Head, im vacationing during that time -___-
  9. Lollapalooza doesn't book acts two years in a row.

My big thing right now is that I want to GO to Lolla, but I also want to see Coldplay that Tuesday night...it's two nights after Lolla ends though. I was pretty destroyed physically and ear-wise after Lolla'11, so I might have to cut it down to one day for 2012

We shall see. Only young once.

Ah, didn't know this. Makes me think I should have gone earlier this year /: Maybe the Stone Roses will play Lolla? -fingers crossed-

I might wind up going to both Lolla and the Chicago concert since they're so close to one another date-wise.
