1. Cant'wait to get it! They should have realeased at least one live album or dvd by tour...
  2. it upsets me it's Glastonbury (2011) as well. There were no Xylobands at that show, and it isn't very representative of the Mylo Xyloto Tour as a whole. That being said, I wouldn't be too angry if they threw in a few songs that were lost between the Festivals and the tour, (i.e. Everything's Not Lost, Life Is For Living, Politik, Shiver, and Lost!).

But I do wish they would've just filmed it just in London, or even Paris, and called it a show. I'm assuming as well that this is gonna be a lot like a Rattle and Hum type film, with little bits of the band off the stage between songs, just based on the trailer.
  3. Nevermind Glastonbury not being representative of the tour, it wasn't even part of the Mylo Xyloto Tour!
  4. What is it all about totally dissecting a concert?

I read somewhere that The Scientist and Don't Let It Break Your Heart will only be bonus stuff, and they totally leave out Warning Sign, Lovers In Japan and Speed Of Sound.

    well this is horse shit...

no Warning Sign and Speed of Sound? and no Lovers In Japan (which was definitely a live highlight with the balloons and confetti, as was DLIBYH with the inflatables).

Bonus tracks are crap as well. No me gusta.
  7. well, i just pre ordered the blue-ray... but if I see this setlist.
To bad! I thought the live shows were over-directed... but this setlist isn't even a complete show!
  8. Info from Amazon.co.uk:

Coldplay Live 2012 is the band’s first concert film/live album for nine years. It documents their acclaimed Mylo Xyloto world tour, which has been seen by more than three million people since it began in June 2011. The film was directed by Paul Dugdale, previously responsible for Adele’s Live at the Royal Albert Hall and The Prodigy’s Worlds On Fire concert films. Coldplay Live 2012 includes footage from Coldplay’s shows at Paris’s Stade de France, Montreal’s Bell Centre and the band’s triumphant Pyramid Stage headline performance at Glastonbury 2011. This edition comes in blu-ray casing, including an audio CD of the live album as well as the concert film on blu-ray.
  9. Crap crap crap

  10. there was also some Hollywood Bowl in there... (i recognize that venue from a mile away out of hatred!) but ugh, I didn't see the Mylo tour and I really don't like this, I can't put my finger on it really, it's just so overblown. This video is going to look like the Rose Bowl, MTV, and 80's music videos on acid I think and yet I WANT IT. LOL I feel like the days of Coldplay writing deep songs are gone though and megahuge stadium tours are starting... WHY filmed from various shows? and where are Lovers in Japan, THE SCIENTIST (A WARHORSE PERFECT FOR THIS, WHY IS IT A BONUS TRACK?) I don't know I'm bummed by Coldplay right now, they need to release a new album asap and end this era imo. But yeah I'll still buy this and hopefully it's not edited horribly and Chris's cardio workouts onstage don't ruin his vocal performances!
  11. I really liked this tour, but I don't like the idea of making a mash-up of concerts to release a DVD. They should just pick a day, film the whole darn thing, and release that. Maybe you can have one or two tracks from that day as bonus tracks, but that's only if you release a complete gig. Each gig has its own "feel" to it that develops as the night progresses. Mixing up songs really removes that feeling.

Plus, based on the trailer, I think it's going to be something along the lines of a documentary interspersed with tracks as opposed to a true concert DVD. When they talked about the thoughts that went on behind the tour, it reminded me of From The Sky Down. I don't object to the idea of releasing something like that (From The Sky Down was an amazing film), but don't try to pass off something like that as a live film because it really isn't.
  12. Tracklisting confirmed via Twitter -__- dammit.
