    For me Lyon didn't play well at all. Ajax either, as both of you said they had the ball but didn't do anything THAT interesting with it. And Lyon didn't have the ball, but when they had it, it was Anyway.

    And when you think that half of their players come from their own football school, you really wonder how can they have such a big debt. Financial fair-play will kick their ass.

    Financial fair-play will never punish teams like barca. Then the whole idea will just be thrown out of the window. Barca is waaaay tooo powerful. Same as Real. Bit of a shame when for example Santander may get into problems, that the rest of the world will have to bend over for the debt of Real by saving Santander.

    (Just an example, Santander is a strong bank. But it is ridiculous that they 'give' sooo much money to some spoiled brats)

    + It ruins the sport
  4. Don't you think they'll necessary have to be a little more virtuous? I mean, I can't see them selling half of their team to pay off their date next summer, but still, they could be more careful about what they do.

  8. I really hope for you Thib, that Lyon doesnt play like this every match they were very happy with one point. The only thing they did was playing the long ball to Gomis, Ajax should have scored at least 2 goals to bad Sulejmani didnt scored that big chance. But on the otherside Lyon got some good chances too, I think a draw is fair.

    Completely agree. Problem is, nearly all clubs are in debt. What's even more of a disgrace is that small clubs who are supposedly not as attractive or valuable are left to die a slow death; plenty of examples here of small lower league/non-league clubs left to go bust over debts of £X00k, whilst as you say, Barca are vastly more so. The difference is, they still have a sizeable income and the banks are fond of them. Economics is such a stupid and murky world that this kind of thing will continue to go on. It seriously pisses me off that such clubs are allowed to accrue this kind of debt and let continue to buy players for stupid sums of money and pay them in kind. It continues to keep the smaller clubs small and let the big clubs bigger despite the complete moronic nature of their financial situations.

    Completely agree Lyon doesn't play like that every match, that was disappointing. They clearly came to Amserdam to go back to France with one point. But still, as you said, draw is fair.
