1. Sepp Blatter is having lobster for dinner tonight. He got a pay rise. Not off FIFA, but off Zagreb

  3. That 'Y U NO' raises a debate:

It was 1-1 at half time. It shows that Zagreb actually tried in the first half. Then the manager must have told them to start playing worse because he's getting a shit load of cash from Lyon. So then we have 4 goals in 15 minutes... doesn't sound too legitimate to me.

  5. I'm not a fan of Ajax or Lyon, but this is really weird and very undeserved for Ajax. 2 fair goals denied in their match...
Would've been a completely different game if it was 1-1 of even 2-1.

And then Lyon... They scored 2 goals in 5 matches and now 7 times What the...
Oh well, we'll probably never know if this was meant to be or 'just' a miracle.
  6. It wasn't that bad ITV

As for the Ajax game...I watched the highlights on YouTube in a foreign language since our FTA highlights show didn't show the Ajax goals. First one was assumed to be offside, I got that. It wasn't and should've stood, but what the hell was the excuse for the 2nd goal? Perfectly legitimate goal.

    As for the Zagreb game...
  7. Was also ruled offside. The shot was deflected by an Ajax player who wasnt offside.

About your photo: hard to tell if the ball crossed the line completely. The angle sucks.

Lol, that's the ball on the ground, clearly crossed the line in the highlights and the 28th official has a great view anyway. The photo is there for the scoreline...
  9. I think that ball isn't on the ground, it must be something like one feet above the line. I think it's crossed the line but it's not that obvious, the angle is shit. I don't know what teams you're talking about or taking sides, I coudln't care less actually

I know full well the ball is on the ground because the goalkeeper puts it there with his hand and immediately rolls the ball out of the net. A foot off the ground? Absolutely not. It did cross the line, the goal was given and as a result it became 2-1 to Basel. Not 3-0 as the image quite clearly suggests. The angle may well be shit when it comes to judging the the decision, if I wanted a discussion regarding the goal I'd have posted an image from the goal line camera. Since I posted the image to display the incorrect scoreline that remained unchanged throughout the rest of the highlights, I am not taking sides with anyone.

EDIT: Maybe this will settle the nonsensical discussion.
