My question would be "Why?". David De Gea is actually in fine form now, making some really good saves. He's gone from being a potential £18m flop to one of the best goalkeepers in the league. Sure, he's still got a lot to learn but this is mainly mental experience. He needs to hit the gym and bulk up, but he's already said that he's doing that. He needs to be more commanding in the area and be in control of the defenders in front of him. Instead of just bailing them out with a good save, step up and give them some mouth afterwards.
He has great potential. Julio Cesar wouldn't necessarily be a bad signing, would make De Gea work hard for his place as #1 but he'd also provide much more experienced cover for De Gea than Anders Lindegaard. £9m for another goalkeeper, particularly as back up, is a little steep. That sort of money could be invested in the midfield area or right back.
