1. Awesome

The Dutch coach (Bert van Marwijk) has proven yet again that he is a chicken. He will only play with one striker (Robin van Persie) and Huntelaar has to start from the bench.

So ridiculous, so many players lacking form and you bench one of your top players so that you can play the holy 4-3-2-1 / 4-3-3

Sorry guys! You will see again some ugly football from Holland. Eventhough we have one of the most technical players of the tournament
  2. Just get Van Bommel out for Van der Vaart and Van Persie for Huntelaar. But since Van Bommel is Van Marwijk's son in law and Van Persie is his favorite player they will both play.

And yes we will play ugly football again, its nice to get in the final with ugly football but I prefer playing great football and going out in the quarter final or in the semi final.
If you ask me I like EC 2008 better than the last WC, at least for The Netherlands.
  3. What have you got against van Persie?
  4. Nothing, but he just sucks in the Dutch team.

At Arsenal he is amazing but when he wears the orange shirt he cant get in to his normal form. With Huntelaar we play a lot better.

Dont get me wrong, I think he is one of the best players but Arsenal the whole team plays for him since they dont have another player like him but in the Dutch team we have Sneijder and Robben who are more important imo.
  5. Right, can't say I regularly watch the Dutch national team play, so I wouldn't really know. Guess I'll see soon enough though
  6. Off to Wembley today to see the England v Belgium game, and Chris Kamara apparently playing his charity single - what more could a man want on a Saturday afternoon?

Nice, have fun! Belgium has a really good team, I wouldn't be surprised if they came far on the WC 2014. But then again there's also the chance they won't even make it to the tournament. You never know with Belgium.. Shame with such great players (Vermaelen, Hazzard, Vertonghen, Kompany etc. etc.)

    Gotta love Chris Kamara!

I wish I was going, would love to see Chris Kamara do his thing

    England...
  10. Kamara is a hero, of course! But yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if Belgium won, in fact I'd be more surprised if we won! As you say Remy, they've got quality players in their line-up (moreso than we've got, in all likelihood), but it depends which Belgium turns up. I just want to see a good game and signs that we won't get totally annihilated in a few weeks' time.

Bollocks, RVP got 2 balls at best during the matches of the WC. Problem are the wingers which dont care for an assist, but cut back inside for their own chances.

Anyway, Huntelaar should play as will. He is less capable than Van Persie, but scores just as easiliy. There is no reason why a coach at the highest level is not able to find a system that works with two highly skilled attakers.
  12. Sneijder is terribly out of form, I'd prefer Van der Vaart any day. Much more creative, less conservative and less ego.

Still dont understand why whole Holland blames Van Persie for losing the WC. While Robben and Sneijder clearly screwed us then. They played like juniors, receiving the ball and try to get a shot at goal without caring about other players (proof: Sneijder who kicked all free kicks > 30m at goal, Robben who 2 or 3 times shouldve passed the ball because there was CLEARLY someone in a better. Anyway, I'd would not let a tear if those two stop playing football

    /end biased rant
