  5. As an American and a relatively new soccer fan (sorry, I just can't call it football), I'm actually pretty excited to watch tournament. I still don't know too much about the game, but I have just started to love watching matches.

    The only thing I need now is a team to cheer for. Anyone want to suggest a team for me?

    I'd suggest the Netherlands (but I'm a little bias). You could try Germany, they have an excellent team that could go far..

    When watching games you usually find yourself cheering for a team. So I'm sure you'll find one. Take one you like watching play.

    I have the same thing. While watching a game I usually find myself chearing for a team without realising it, because I like them or something like that. At the world cup I found myself chearing for Chile for some reason!
    But this tournament I have a couple of favourites. I like Ireland, England and of course the Netherlands. But I don't think these teams are gonna make it. I still think Germany have the best team!
  10. oh oh, that is how everyone sees it - that the German team is a favorite for the title. The boys sure are, but there is an immense pressure on them. The media here in Germany as well as the fans expect them to win the title. It's not like "we hope they'll come far in the tournament", it's more like "how well will they present themselves on their way to the title".
    I really hope they can stand this pressure. It is huge.
