1. Non-league Bashley Town have written to the Football Association requesting their FA Cup first-round qualifying match against Gosport Borough is replayed after a clear goal was missed by referee Ian Bull.

With the teams level at 2-2, Bashley 'scored' late on after James Stokoe struck from close range, but in frustration the Gosport keeper kicked the ball through the side netting. And, having missed the ball going in, referee Bull then awarded a corner.

"We feel cheated," Bashley vice-chairman Tim Titheridge told BBC Sport.

The incident was also missed by the assistant referee and Bashley went on to lose 3-2 after extra time. It is a mistake Titheridge believes has cost them up to £10,000.

    How bizarre
  2. Alex Buttner is set to make his debut today against Wigan. Get to see what he's all about. I'm glad the football is back, Champions League starts this week too
  3. Half time across the board. Arsenal are tearing Southampton to shreds, winning 4-1 at home. Man Utd just annoying me as usual. Missed penalty, sloppy play, barely any threat in the final third. Alex Buttner playing well though, he looks like a more accomplished da Silva. Fast, likes to attack, knows when to stay back, gets stuck in and looks confident.
  4. Old Scholes ....
  5. Haha Buttner, a goal and a assist
  6. Buttner
  7. Nani really is terrible today
  8. Nothing new.
  9. wellbeck shouldve gotten the red card.
  10. Well, the second half performance makes up for a less than clinical first half. Büttner had a great game, easily played well enough to keep Evra out of the team for a couple of the next few games. Maybe see Evra again against Liverpool where his experience could come in handy. I'd expect Büttner to start against Galatasaray and Newcastle in e League Cup.

I hope Sunderland win this evening. It'd round of a relatively good day of football.
  11. Messi scored two goals again

  12. 61 goals in 45 matches in 2012, breaking his own record of 60 from 2010. Today 4 defenders walked around him, still he gets through. What a player.
