  2. Tottenham reportedly looking into a swap of Benoit Assou-Ekotto for Alvaro Pereira, Ronnie. Though there's that many rumours regarding Tottenham that it's difficult to say what is likely and what is unlikely.

    As for Man Utd, nothing. Wilfried Zaha is the only signing made this window, but he's been loaned back to Crystal Palace for the remainder of the season.

    Serie A has to put up with Balotelli now. I read this on the BBC website on deadline day:

    "When Inter president Massimo Moratti said yesterday that Silvio Berlusconi would have many uses for Mario Balotelli he was absolutely right. The 20m euro signing from Manchester City wasn't brought in just to win football matches at AC Milan. He may also give Berlusconi a chance of winning next month's Italian general election, which incidentally also falls on the date of the Derby della Madonnina.

    "Corriere della Sera claims that by signing Balotelli for Milan, Berlusconi could have also secured an extra one or two per cent at the polls for his The People of Freedom party [the PDL] of which they predict there'll be as many as 100,000 additional votes in Lombardy [the region of Milan] which is typically decisive in securing a majority in the Italian Senate. Cynical, isn't it? But seeing how many people came out to welcome Balotelli last night, even clashing with police outside a restaurant where he was dining, the hope, for Berlusconi at least, is that he'll persuade the undecided to get to the polling stations and vote for the PDL come election day."

    he defined him "a rotten apple" not more than one month ago and now suddenly he changed his mind during the campaign .. "weird" ...

  6. He is a parasite. Milan are in desperate need of some class and whilst he can provide at on the field, he'll offer very little but controversy off of it. It will be good for him to get regular game time, but we know he can be a loose cannon on the field too. I wonder how he'll get on with Allegri in charge since he's only really had Mancini as a mentor.

    It's disappointing that there's potential political benefits for Berlusconi, but that's the world we live in. The English press will no doubt be keeping tabs on his behaviour in Italy and I'm sure we'll hear plenty of stories.

    Are Inter fans going to give him a hard time?

  7. This is Beira-Rio Stadium of Sport Club Internacional, in Porto Alegre, Brazil, on December 2008. Final of Copa Sudamericana (South American Cup). It's seems like the UEFA Cup.
    The first match, in La Plata, Argentina, Intenacional won 1-0. The second match, in home, Internacional lost 1-0 to Estudiantes. The Match went to
    extra time and Nilmar made the Goal. 1-1 and Internacional was the Champion.

    In 2014, Beira-Rio will be one of the World Cup Stadiuns.

  8. That stadium will look fantastic when development is completed. Brazil will deliver a great World Cup I think. Not long left to wait now, they come around quicker and quicker each time.

    Eventful day in the Premier League today. Popov sent off for spitting at another player, Man City falling nine points behind Man Utd, and Liverpool scoring a controversial goal when Dzeko was down pretending to be injured.

    Not long until Milan play Udinese. The spotlight will surely be on Balotelli if he makes his debut. I'm sure Roonie will be hoping he has a quiet day given today's result.

  10. Well that was eventful. Lat minute winner from Balotelli from the penalty spot. The Udinese players were fuming and they had good reason to be I think. It looked a harsh (if not incorrect) decision.
