1. If they have the balls to punish a PFA nominated player at this stage. Hopefully they take into account his previous behaviour and give him something worthwhile.

Here is a list of the longest bans imposed by the FA:

9 months - Manchester United's Eric Cantona for his 'kung-fu' style kick
9 months - Chelsea keeper Mark Bosnich who tested positive for cocaine
8 months - Rio Ferdinand of Manchester United for missing a drugs test
11 games - Sheffield Wednesday's Paolo di Canio for pushing over referee Paul Alcock
10 games - Former Southampton player David Prutton for shoving referee Alan Wiley
9 games - Paul Davis of Arsenal for punching Southampton's Glenn Cockeril
8 games - Liverpool's Luis Suarez for racially abusing Patrice Evra
8 games - Joey Barton for violent conduct after receiving a red card
5 weeks - Man United's Roy Keane for comments made in his autobiography
  2. My favourite comment on the CNN story:

"Players on the Suarez menu: Bakary Lasagne, Paul Mince, Benteke fried chicken, pepperRooney pizza, Thomas Muller corner kieron ribbs"

He needs sectioned. He's a hooligan.

  5. ban him for life, relegate liverpool for failure to control their players.
  6. I'm so close to just walking away from football. Shit like this all the time. If I bit someone at my job I'd be sacked on the spot. Even if I wasn't but I got suspended for weeks my employer would still want shot of me. The sport (business really) is an absolute disgrace. Liverpool should sack him long before the FA get the chance to let him away with this.

    Stupid fucking twat footballers.

He has apologised on twitter at least. What a stupid moron https://mobile.twitter.com/luis16suarez/status/326058608376811520
  7. If Liverpool were to sack Suarez though, they're not punishing him, they're punishing themselves because he is arguably their best player and without funds from his transfer, they'd struggle to replace him. Suarez would simply sign for another club. If you were sacked for biting an employee, it would be the complete opposite, the company would just replace you with someone else who wants your job and you'd end up unemployed, looking for a job with a muddy history.

The FA fortunately can discipline him for his behaviour because the referee didn't punish him. It's no consolation for Chelsea because Suarez scored the equaliser when he shouldn't have been on the field. He has history and the FA should take that into account. The English FA are terribly inconsistent though so you can expect anything from a fine (aka nothing) and a lengthy ban.
  8. An apology isn't good enough. He needs punished and justice must be served. If I were Ivanovic, I'd be getting a tetanus jag and amputating my arm.

That's exactly the problem. The clubs (employers) are held to ransom by these players. It's ridiculous. How Joey Barton is in a job for example is insane. Liverpool can't do Nything here. They will have to fine him at very very least but assuming Suarez gets another ban how many games will that total through the racism case, red cards and now this?

The game has just gone wild. I think I'll declare myself a non watcher from here on and just avoid getting annoyed at this nonsense.

Thank god for cricket and MotoGP.
