Needlessly rude man. Not on at all. You may not like the guy, that's fine, tell us. But that language has no place here.
  2. My 10 cents (or how that phrase goes): I like the site...nice ppl over there and a hell of work behind uploading everything. I think they are quite generous by trying to make DVDs available to ppl that don't have much to trade / cannot use torrent downloading.

That is really very true. I completely agree on that.
Thanks again LikeASong - I believe the only experience you have with our site has been to take a few DVD's.
You're welcome, but wrong. I had much more experiences. For example, I had the chance to see how your servers crashed one after another.
Jokes out, your site used to be great. but "what you do to my friend you do it to me". You treated pretty bad to Germcevoy on your site; therefore I consider you treated me bad. Got me?

By the way, Kaycee, you're very welcome to our lovely website. You will have fun here, I'm sure

That was Martin and Martin alone. I can say that Kaycee played no part in the incident that occurred when a cock grew from Martins head. Kaycee was very understanding afterwards but it is Martins site and his word is final I suppose.
  5. I hope I didn't upset any one, I just needed help to naviate through IWILLFOLLOW.COM site.

Our site is built on a vBulletin base, there isn't much way of making it a different design! We've done our best to make it unique. No, my meager programming skills don't allow me to make a completely unique site design like the one Remy has done here. And Baba, LMB is NOT the only U2 site that runs on a vBulletin base.

Needless concept?? It's hard to start trading if you don't have anything to trade with. We have given many members a start with a bunch of DVD's that they can then trade with to build up their own collections. Many of your u2start members have also gotten many DVD's from us. They have then gone on to do a lot of trading. I don't agree that our concept is needless.

Admins are idiots - thank you very much!!! Glad to know the time I spent teaching you how to torrent, germcevoy, was well appreciated. Also, glad to know you appreciated the time I spent converting several DVD's to .avi and uploading them for you (before you realized how much better DVD's were).

At no time has anyone on our site bashed u2start, and nothing has been said about LMB since July 2007 either. I think u2start is a great site and I have said so to many of our members, as well as complimenting Remy on his great programming skill (that I wish I had!)

Bono and U2 would be very proud of the U2 spirit that has been shown here on this thread.

I will say that the concept is not a bit needless. I'm not a fan of torrents by any means, so that really got me interested. There is a lot of work involved obviously, it takes hours upon hours to upload all of those dvds.

Kaycee, you are a great admin. You have been very friendly, and have said many good things about U2start to myself and others as well.

However, I have to agree with people about Martin. I was online when Gerard and Martin had their run-in, and while I won't go into detail, I will say that Martin was acting ridiculous. Other than him and a few design/navigation glitches (not your fault at all, some of them will just happen from time to time), it's a nice site. Even better if you had a more of a forum.

I hope we can agree to disagree. We all have different opinions, and that's what forums are for.

  7. I've never had any problems with them, and my DVD collection would be about 1/50th of what it is now without iwillfollowu2.com, and for that, I'm thankful.
  8. Well, it's originally where I got a few DVDs from - about 13 of them and that helped me get started, so I'm more than grateful for that gesture, like Jeremy is.

They're all pretty friendly there, and apart from a few problems in the beginning like security and access problems, which happens on all sites so it wasn't their fault in the least - vBulletin is known for those issues - it all works wonderfully. I'll continue to upload stuff to their site and other U2 sites I know of as well.

G'day Kaycee, and your first and second statements are more than spot on. I also said to Martin several times that I'd send him something back for his hard work from the Australian tour - but each time he said that he wouldn't take it - so I definitely did offer - and Martin will vouch for that.

You can make a point strongly without that language.
  11. Thank you for the support from many of you! I'm sorry you had a disagreement with Martin, germcevoy, however, that was months ago!!! Martin is definitely the most generous and kind person I know, and there are MANY members of our site who will attest to the same thing.

No one had thought of how to upload DVD's without requiring torrents before Martin, and yes, there are some glitches (4 Gb files are not easy to upload!!), but in general our system works great and has allowed a lot of people who otherwise couldn't get DVD's to download them.

Thanks djrlewis - I agree. Martin has never made any personal or rude comments about u2start or its members on our site.

Anyway, I hope we can all be civil to each other. All we are trying to do on BOTH sites is to share our love for U2.
