1. I consider myself lucky to remember first hearing of U2 when I was in the 3rd grade, right around the time Joshua Tree came out. I remember this one girl who liked U2, and we all thought she was so cool because in our 3rd grade minds, only the big cool kids listened to rock & roll...

Hello, I'm Katherine, I live in Virginia, I've been a U2 fan for almost two years, U2 is like my favorite band. I'm thirteen, so a bunch of my friends think I'm wierd for liking an "old" band like U2 But I don't really care, they can listen to Hannah freaking Montana, I'll listen to U2.
Soooo yeah, like I said, I'm not great at introducing myself like this, but hello, it's nice to find a place to talk with my fellow U2 fans.

Welcome I know the issue, friends that listen to that crappy 'modern' stuff, saying that U2's way to old...But we don't care, do we Nice to have some younger people 'round here And there's nthing wrong with that intro...I never made an introduction whe I was just around here

    Enjoy your stay!

Sad thing is, I used the phrase "the golden arches" in front of some of those girls, and they didn't know what I was talking about
I honestly think some of those girls have th IQ of a sloth.

    Nice to meet ya!
It is rather annoying to have friends who make fun of U2 without ever listening to them, but I always remember "Don't let the bastards grind you down" and I feel a lot better lol! It's also good to know I'm not the only one who has to deal with that!

Yep, that happened to me a lot too...but then one day I put parts of the Rattle And Hum movie on my iPod and took it to the university...all my friends who would make fun of U2 were simply blown away, by Exit, Helter Skelter, Bad, etc.
