That's indeed a good question, but I think he likes it too much with the other bandmembers and he doesn't like to be completly alone.
  3. I was thinking something more to the effect of just putting out an album were he sings all the leads, the incorporating some of the songs into there set.

    . . . . with Bono on guitar
  5. Nah. I was thinking just backing vocals. Maybe help with the lyrics.

    Murder stigma: Exit.

List any more you can think of. Oviously there are songs they just dont play because they dont feel like going back that far. (probally the reason they dont play most of there first three albums).

I might be a stubborn idiot, but I still think Bono CAN reach the notes of TUF. He can reach the high notes in Pride and Bad, so TUF would do. And even when he can't reach them...a screaming TUF is also better than nothing at all. I WANT TUF BACK!!!
  7. Maybe they felt some of the songs wouldn't work so well in the live setting. For example Your Blue Room is a fantastic song. but can you imagine it live?

Stuff like Crumbs.... have a lot of guitar overdubs and i think the band would rather play the songs as 'live' as possible.

I can't understand how Bono can still hit the high notes in Bad. Those notes are higher than anything else on TUF. So what happened to TUF and ASOH and Wire. Drowing Man goes pretty high aswell.

That is the thing I dislike the most about U2...we could get 2 or 3 more songs on this time.

    Yup. Amen to that.
  10. They could do it a laid back acoustic version.

I'm with you mate! If he can play the role of Pavarotti in Sarajevo he can do TUF and ASOH. I thought his voice was in fine form during the last leg of Vertigo. Sure it's lost a bit over the years, it's a little bit crusty but he's still got a pretty big range.

I can't think of any good reasons why U2 can physically no longer play any songs from their back catalogue to be honest.
