1. To me it's crap. It sounds like if they fabricated it within a few minutes.
  2. Are we still talking about Kendrick here, or U2's output post-2000?
  3. We are still talking about Kendrick here yes.

If you don't understand why U2 does collaborations, then you don't understand U2.
  5. And if it reminds you of POP. Then you don't understand POP.
  6. I think its more the grove of the bass and drum as well as Bono's kinda smooth vocal style that reminds people of POP. Its almost lazy kinda like Velvet Dress or Playboy Mansion. The grove reminds me a bit of Million Dollar Hotel

While I don't really enjoy hip hip as a genre, I wouldn't call it crap. People have different tastes in music. Many people also say U2 are crap, but we don't - its all subjective.
  7. U2 has made some nice songs post-2000.
  8. What I don't really get that theres this much talk about bono singing about 20sec on a album from another artist....

Btw rap isn't exactly my cup of thea either but this album is pretty good imo.

Yes, and mostly these are people who are listening to artists like Kendrick Lamar.

The whole band is involved in this song.
  11. I don't. I actually don't like hip hop at all. I still enjoy the groove of Larry and Adam in the second half, but I don't like the first part of the song all that much.

Thing is I just say why not? They are free to collaborate with whoever they want. If they can appreciate all genres then power to them, or maybe it is commercially driven we don't know. I say good on them that they made it work.
