  3. The Oooh's during Elevation were not live on the Elevation tour, right?

    At every Superbowl, I think the instruments are not live, just in case something goes wrong.

    Same with the Obama inauguration performance of COBL. The instruments were not live. (Pretty obvious)

    It was a bit strange that Bono was singing over the studio vocals. Eminem does it at his own concerts. Bono isn't going to do that.

  6. I was listening to a Bono ear monitor recording of ultraviolet from this last year, and could clearly hear a lower pitched bono vocal track in there. Sounded like the studio version added as sweetener. They do it all the time, especially on backing vocals. The raw backing track to this year's Sort of Homecoming is a trip...lots of synth and backing vocals. They put the headset of Larry just for that song because they didn't think anybody would be fooled with just bono and edge harmonizing.

    The Oohs on Elevation are always live I think, for Elevation, Vertigo and TJT17 he sang over the studio version of the Oohs
  10. He was miming them in 2001. Pretty clear when you listen to the monitor feeds.
  11. I remember being really surprised at the 2005 rehearsals that Bono was doing it live.


  12. Hopefully it was just a one off they were contractually required to show up at. The fact it was only Adam and Bono speaks volumes.
