1. Always pushing themselves is one thing, but worrying and self-deprecating is another.

  2. I'm feeling just a bit of that.

But remember we've got FTGU + Edge's Picks hopefully en route and even more bonus downloads! I think the material should tide me over until early 2013. If the world hasn't ended yet, I'm sure they will give us something by then.

And now the company, which has been dubbed as 'the next Apple', said that it will create between 30 and 40 jobs in Ireland in the new year.

jeez the unemployment problem in Ireland is gonna be solved
  4. Holy crap U2 has been working with Dropbox? I had no idea!

This could be a really good thing for Ireland. Because of Dropbox's simplicity, I think it'll grow rapidly.

    no kidding...30 to 40?! that's a job bonanza?!
And what do they mean exactly by next Apple?
  6. a little bit optimistic, isn't it?
  7. The article is not written very well, to be honest.

I think when they said 30-40 new jobs, I think they mean 30-40 new positions that multiple people can fill.
ie. a technician team of 4-5 people counting as one job.

And when they talk about this being the next Apple, it seems like they refer to the way that Dropbox is essentially revolutionizing cloud storage. Obviously, cloud storage requires an internet connection, but having a folder on your desktop that will automatically sync the files within it to be sent to cloud storage is amazing. So I can move a bunch of files into the Dropbox folder offline and it'll automatically update my online storage once I've got access.
  8. will we automatically have a U2 folder when sign in?
  9. they could use it to cover U2 Ltd cash fall

Dropbox is a great idea. When I first heard of it (before using it, obviously) I thought it was a strange idea, not being able to save your stuff locally. But then when you're able to access it anywhere with an internet connection, that's when it becomes something else.

Then I also realised I'd been using cloud storage a lot longer than I thought - i.e. Savefile. Now who remembers that?
  12. but ... talking as almost ignorant .. is it that revolutionary idea? aren't there many online storage sites yet?
