1. that's what came to my mind too. But I believe Dropbox was the first or one of the first to successfully enable you to just copy your files to a folder on your computer and then access it anywhere you want. Other services before that had you uploading files to a webpage and they weren't as reliable.
Nowadays there is iCloud, there is Google Drive, Microsoft's Skydrive...
  2. Dropbox is awesome. Period. /offtopic

  3. The idea of online storage isn't revolutionary. You are correct, there are several online storage sites.

But what is revolutionary, at least in my mind, is the idea of having a folder on your desktop that your online storage will automatically sync up with. Instead of dealing with clunky uploading mechanisms, I can just drag and drop my files. I haven't tested this yet, but I think if you remove a file from the specific dropbox folder, you also remove it from cloud. This is as opposed to uploading sites where removal is more of a hassle.

I know there are other cloud storage systems, such as Apple's, but those can only be accessed by specific devices (ie Apple devices). Dropbox is useable wherever there is an internet connection.
  4. ^ that.

I use Dropbox on a daily basis and I couldn't love it anymore. You can also do specific folders to be shared only with one particular person, which is really useful.
  5. thanks guys .. now it's clearer
  6. Me too
  7. cool they've succeeded to get a Grammy nomination when relaxing in the lounge

    81. Best Long Form Music Video
    From The Sky Down

    U2
Davis Guggenheim, video director; Belisa Balaban, Brian Celler, Davis Guggenheim & Ted Skillman, video producers
    [UMe/Interscope/UMG/Mercury]
  8. hahahahaha

A deserved nomination, I have to say. Although I thought there was some "Documental" catergory, I don't think FTSD should classify as a music video at all. It's a documental, it was filmed as a documental and announced as a documental...
  9. FTSD deserves an award, but as a music video?
    Not really...
  10. How "long" does a "Long Form Video" have to be to qualify?
  11. Long Form Music Video has to be at least twenty minutes in length. ZooTV Sydney got a Grammy award in 1994 for Long Form Music Video. The world 'long form' gives it away and it essentially is a music video.
