1. I was commenting on this;

    really not a time to be a rich rock star talking about poor people, I'll tell you that, or a film star, or a first lady or a … – there's just something... it's like "Why don't you just piss off back to your chateau" – and so I'm kind of delighted that people keep doing it. Outside the UK, we won't get much coverage for these issues without famous faces – and without coverage, politicians are less supportive.
  2. I have to disagree with your first post. Bono's investment in Africa is a fundamental part of who he is as both a person and a musician. I bet if you ask Bono what he does when he goes to Africa, he'll use many words to describe it, but "job" probably won't be one of them. Bono is doing what he's passionate about and I think he wants people to know that he'll be carrying that banner until the end of his days.

    Plus, it wouldn't be appropriate for Bono to think about other people to continue his struggle because if it's not their passion, they won't be able to carry it out. Chris Martin, Brandon Flowers, and all the other rock stars and actors have to find their own "Africa" per say.
  3. people forget that Bono's been invested in Africa since the mid-80's, one of the criticisms is that Bono only did it recently but his ideology has always been there and it annoys me when I have to tell people that NO, he's been campaigning since before you were born!!!
  4. Good news from Larry, i hope its true

    They should just take their time... I hope that it will be something more experimental like Zooropa, No Line was only half way there

    And then tour most of the new album songs + best songs from NLOTH (Fez, No Line, Cedars etc.) + comeback of POP + unplayed songs from Zooropa (Some Days...) !

    I know, wishful thinking^^
  5. I assume the '10 reasons to exist' thing is related to the '11 reasons to go on tour' comment Larry kept referring to on the Vertigo Tour.
  6. Why 10 and not ten? It's ugly.

    Also, source?
  7. Double-digit numbers are usual written with numeral. Only single-digit numbers are spelled out.

  8. I see. In Dutch, every number under 21 is spelled out. After that, only round numbers like 40, 300, 9000, 20,000, 300,000.
  9. It's all from what Bono said in that radio interview few weeks back

  10. In that case, the next album will not be called '10 Reasons to Exist'
