According to Larry, the band want to 'get as much music out there' as they possibly can. That has to sound promising from a fan's perspective. It's a shame the double album thing is no longer fashionable. A U2 'white album' anyone??

Good to hear! They *needed* rewriting

I was not really a fan of the live versions at all. Very glad they did not perform it at the gig I attended.

Really? I quite liked EBW in Helsinki.
  3. EBW is embarrassingly haunting. It just sounded terrible.
  4. EBW never sounded like it had a conclusion. Even though North Star was just as incomplete, there was a sense of progression that could be worked with.
  5. North Star, especially the Transformers 'studio' version is really nice on the ears. However not a 'song' since it fades out mid-verse

That's basically what I meant in my last sentence!

Anyway, I think they have definitely stepped out from these songs and opted for a totally different approach. Let's see. We just need a new single so badly.

Just give me half a beach clip and I'm happy
  8. My guess is that we won't be getting a new single until about April or May. It'll be something to tide us over until they release the album in September. EBW, North Star, Mercy, etc. Might be released as a side project during the summer, though.
  9. I think that if a single release was due to April, we would be getting a bigger amount of news and promo stuff (or we would start to get it soon). UNLESS they're actually thinking of jumping on Bowie's train and do a out-of-the-blue release...

    ...which I tremendously doubt.
  10. I'd be so extremely happy with a week-before single. Getting a single and then just hearing about how great the album is for a month or two doesn't sit well at all. I'd love NO single and NO promotion actually, at least not until the album comes out. That'd be my dream..

    I honestly agree with you,
but what is decided is what we are to get.
Saying that you dont know what impression the single
afterwards may have on the album
  12. True, but at the same time if a single isn't representative of what the album entails it's not a well chosen single. A single is meant to sell the greater work, not to throw you off from it.
