  1. Oh yeah I read this interview when it was posted a couple days ago. I instantly clicked ctrl+F and typed "album" into the search bar. When no results came up, I closed the article. True story.

  6. Yeah, that seems the most logical now. I didn't see them coming out with a new album in 2013, so it doesn't suprise me to be honest.

  8. Finished by the end of the year, followed by another six months to get everything right, dumb down the lyrics for those that don't understand slightly larger words and let the backwards-thinking record company bureaucrat and executives decide a release for November 2015.

    That's how I see it. Why haven't U2 got their own record distribution system yet where they can actually put out things without the backwards twats over at the record companies and 'so-called producers' deciding their opinion on it, causing the album to be safe and pleasing for the American pop market.

    I think it is U2 to blame, from all bands they probably are one of the few with most freedom.

    Personally I think that this process is not working for them anymore. As you say, I dont believe songs will actually improve by changing and changing them over time. Maybe it would be 'fun' for them to just set a hard deadline and make the best of it.
  11. They've earned all this freedom, them along with Radiohead and Depeche Mode to me are prime examples of artists who've been rushed in the past by their companies. Now that THEY'RE in a position of power and can take as long as they want to make their albums, ironically at the expense of the music imo...
